MAINopoly food festival gets boozy upgrade

MAINopoly is back — with a boozy upgrade!

Beginning this year, residents 21 and older can participate in the unique community building game while strolling Main Street with a cold adult beverage.

MAINopoly — taking place on Sunday, May 24 — turns local bars and restaurants into properties from the classic game board Monopoly.  Participants eat and drink their way through 20 participating locations, checking off spots along the way.

Guests completing their game cards are entered into a drawing to win   a $1000 Taste of Main Prize Pack.  The experience, now in its 11th year, runs from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.  and features a beer garden with lawn games and music by DJ Richie Rich.

The experience begins at Ashland Hill (2807 Main St.) where guests receive their game cards and can map out a route. Tickets are through EventBrite.
