☀️ Good Morning, Santa Monica!
The doctor is out. For good.
Dr. Martens — the iconic British footwear brand best known for its stylish and durable boots — suddenly shuttered its retail shop on Santa Monica’s Third Street Promenade this past weekend. The location at Westfield Century City remains open.
On Monday, photos of the boarded up storefront at 1215 3rd Street began to circulate online with one poster commenting, “I was just there two days ago.” Dr. Martens opened the store — its first in Los Angeles — in April, 2013.
