Today is National Cookie Day — the perfect excuse to grab a chocolate chip treat from Cookie Good on Wilshire or a macaroon from Le Macaron on Montana as you head home from work.
Here’s everything else you need to know today:
- Christmas Tree Lighting Tonight: The 1200 block of Third Street Promenade will transform into a holiday party starting at 6:00 PM tonight. Mayor Lana Negrette will flip the switch on this year’s 40-foot tree. Temperatures are expected to dip into the 50s, so bring a scarf if you’re heading out.
- Montana Avenue “Holiday Walk” is Tomorrow: The annual celebration runs from 4 PM to 8 PM and will feature live jazz bands, carolers, and participating shops offering hot cocoa and sales.
- Main Street’s “Candlelight Walk”: Completing the trifecta of holiday events, the “Miracle on Main Street” runs Saturday night from 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM and features the lighting of the famous “Shopping Cart Tree” at the California Heritage Museum.
