Intuit Dome: History, parking, seating and fun facts

Opened in August 2024, the Intuit Dome is home to the Los Angeles Clippers. With a capacity of approximately 18,000, it has quickly become one of Southern California’s premier venues for basketball, concerts, and major special events.

Owned by Microsoft co-founder Steve Ballmer, the $2 billion privately funded arena was built with a fan-first design philosophy and a heavy emphasis on technology. From its massive Halo Board to its app-based entry system and cashless concessions, Intuit Dome was designed to feel unlike any other building in the NBA.

Set just south of SoFi Stadium and the Kia Forum in Inglewood, the dome has already hosted major concerts (Billy Joel, Shakira, Olivia Rodrigo), WWE on Netflix, and UFC 311.  The venue will also serve as a site for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

What Makes It Special

Intuit Dome boasts a true fan-first experience. The venue features the enormous Halo Board, a double-sided wraparound scoreboard with more than 230 million LEDs, designed to keep the action visible from nearly every angle.

The building also leans into speed and convenience. It uses facial recognition for ticketless entry, cashier-less concessions, and an unusually large number of restrooms to shorten lines and keep fans moving.

One of its most talked-about features is “The Wall,” a 4,500-seat, no-suite section behind the basket that helps create a high-energy home-court atmosphere for Clippers games.
