When life gives you bagels, apparently you raise dough.
Jen Terry –– one of the breakout stars of Love Island USA –– caused a full-on feeding frenzy during a charity stop at PopUp Bagels in Brentwood on Friday. More than 300 fans, mostly teenage girls, packed the block. Some waited nearly two hours in the sun for a selfie, a hug or a personalized TikTok moment.
Inside, it was chaos. But the good kind.
“She went from a ‘nothing burger’ to an ‘everything bagel,’ and that’s her identity now,” store manager Gareth Dutton tells The Sun.
That identity went viral — fast. Less than a week after the season 8 finale, Jen’s team linked with the chain’s marketing crew, and suddenly there was a nationwide rollout.
Jen’s Everything Bagel Bag, a combination of six everything bagels plus one “schmear,” is available at the nearly 40 PopUp Bagels locations nationwide through Sunday. Five dollars from each purchase goes to a Type 1 diabetes research charity.
“We posted about it yesterday and it just took off,” Dutton said. “This morning, it was wildfire.”
By the scheduled 10 am start time, the line on San Vicente Blvd. was almost a full city block long. Phones were up. Nerves were high. Some fans were even starstruck when their turns finally arrived.
“The interactions were really sweet,” Dutton says. “There were a lot of ‘I love you’s going both ways. She was just as excited as they were.”
Luckily, Jen didn’t just pop in and bounce. She stayed a full hour longer than planned to accommodate as many fans as possible.
“I think it’s a testament to her that she’s just so authentic, confident, and gregarious,” Dutton says. “She was blown away by the turnout.”
Jen, 23, spent most of her life in Melbourne, Florida. She graduated from Melbourne Central Catholic High School in 2021 and immediately pursued a career in modeling. She has appeared in high profile campaigns for Guess, SKIMS and Beach Bunny Swimwear.
Jen recently relocated to Los Angeles and has signed with Motive, prominent talent management company.
“I’m thrilled to start this next chapter with Motive after Love Island,” she told The Hollywood Reporter this week. “The show opened so many doors for me, and I’m excited to use my platform to lift people up and be a positive voice for everyone following along. Can’t wait to see what’s next!”
