Need another reason to get to the gym?
The largest airline in Finland will soon be weighting its passengers before they board.
Finnair says the controversial move is a safety measure designed to help them balance the weight of its planes.
“Finnair will collect data by weighing volunteering customers and their carry-on baggage at the departure gate,” the airline says.
“The weighing is voluntary and anonymous, and the data will only be used to optimize Finnair’s current aircraft balance calculations.”
The carrier insists it will not sell the data it collects or use it for any other purpose.
