As is all the active construction wasn’t clue enough, the State of California has officially declared Santa Monica to be a “pro-housing” city.
The designation was made February 1 by Governor Gavin Newsom, who added that California needs to “aggressively build more housing.”
Pro-housing communities are considered as those that have eased restriction and removed red tape to help California reach its goal of building 2.5 million new homes by 2030.
Also making the list: San Luis Obispo, Mountain View, and Petaluma.
