Malcolm in the Middle
In the four episode series, Malcolm (Frankie Muniz) is now a father.

After more than a quarter century, Malcolm is still in the middle.

Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair, the long-awaited four episode reboot, premieres Friday, April 10 on Hulu.  Series stars Frankie Muniz (Malcolm), Jane Kaczmarek (Lois), Bryan Cranston (Hal) and Christopher Kennedy Masterson (Francis) all reprise the roles they made famous on the original Fox comedy from 2000 – 2006.

Caleb Ellsworth-Clark replaces Erik Per Sullivan as Malcolm’s oft-whispering younger brother Dewey.  Sullivan, now 34, turned down the opportunity to join the reunion as he is currently working toward a Masters degree at Harvard University.

“I admire him so much for being a young man who knows exactly who he is and exactly what makes him happy,” Kaczmarek told Extra TV earlier this week.

“Huge mistake to go into academia as opposed to show business!,” Cranston joked.

Malcolm in the Middle revolved around a teen genius (Muniz) navigating life, puberty and adolescence in a dysfunctional, lower class family.

In the reboot, Malcolm is now a dad to daughter Leah.  He lives with his girlfriend, Tristan, but keeps getting pulled back into the family chaos as his parents prepare to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary.
