It’s last call for The Misfit Bar.
After 15 years in the historic Clock Tower building at 225 Santa Monica Boulevard, the beloved downtown spot will pull its last pint on April 18.
Known for upscale comfort food, inventive cocktails, and lively atmosphere, The Misfit has been a cornerstone of the Third Street Promenade dining scene since opening in 2011.
According to a statement from parent company LGO Hospitality, the decision not to renew the lease was “painful” but unavoidable. The group cited years of instability under multiple building owners and a decline in local conditions that made maintaining The Misfit’s high standards increasingly difficult.
LGO founder and CEO Bob Lynn, who operates other Santa Monica favorites including La Grande Orange Grocery and the newly opened Diner Antonette on Wilshire Boulevard, said the latter will continue The Misfit’s tradition of a “top-shelf happy hour.” Lynn and his wife Sara are actively looking for a new home for the concept.
The full farewell letter from LGO can be found on The Misfit’s website.
