Buying a sandwich from Jersey Mike’s won’t cure cancer — but it could help send a cancer survivor to college.
Cancer for College is just one of the 200 charities benefitting from the sandwich chain’s 14th annual “Day of Giving” on Wednesday, March 27.
Jersey Mike’s — with locations at 12003 Wilshire Boulevard in West Los Angeles and 1447 Lincoln Boulevard in Santa Monica — will donate 100% of sales revenue to charity.
Since its inception in 2011, the chain has raised over $88 million.
This year, Jersey Mike’s hopes to exceed last year’s record-breaking national fundraising total of $21 million. Throughout the month, customers will be offered the opportunity to round up their purchases to the nearest dollar or add a small donation to their bill.
Founded in 1956, Jersey Mike’s has more than 3000 locations and specializes in serving freshly sliced sandwiches on store-baked bread.
