Talk about a loss of momentum!
Just when it looked like the Palisades Dolphins finally found their groove, a bug in the locker room has slammed the brakes on tonight’s road game at San Pedro.
After dropping their first three games by single digits, Pali rallied for a season-defining 56-50 four-overtime blockbuster against Brentwood last week. But now coach Dylen Smith says a wave of illness –– including COVID-19 –– has left his team unable to compete.
“After careful discussion, we felt that canceling the game was the best decision to help contain the spread of sickness and COVID-19 within our team and to avoid exposing another team,” Smith stated, emphasizing that player health and safety take top priority.

Instead of building on last week’s double-overtime heroics, the Dolphins (1-3) head straight to the bench to recuperate, hoping to clear quarantine and return to full strength before their next scheduled contest at home on October 2 against the Venice Gondoliers.
