Here’s to you, New Jersey!

The Garden State is now offering free cold beer to anyone who receives their first COVID vaccine during the month of May.

“We’re not going to be afraid to try new things,” Governor Phil Murphy announced today.

The new “Shot and a Beer” program — open to residents 21 and over — is funded by 13 local breweries, according to a report by CNBC.

Locals will have to bring their vaccination cards directly to the breweries to receive their sudsy reward.  It is unclear if there is a limit to how any breweries one can visit.

In nearby Connecticut, vaccinated residents can earn alcoholic cocktails at participating restaurants from May 19 – 30.

West Virginia Governor Jim Justice announced last week a program that would offer $100 savings bonds  for vaccinated residents between ages 16 and 35.

In Santa Monica, many locals had been enjoying a promotion by Krispy Kreme that offered a free glazed donut every day with proof of vaccination.

Sadly, the chain’s only nearby store (1231 Wilshire Boulevard) shut down for good in mid April.
