Business Spotlight

Cookie Good
2448 Wilshire Blvd.
424-280-4100 | www.CookieGood.com

Cookie Good isn’t your average bakery.  It’s the kind of place that makes you wonder why you even bothered pretending you “don’t really like dessert.”

Their rotating menu reads like a childhood fever dream.  Sure, everyone loves a good chocolate chip, but its the Cheetos Cookie — a fluorescent orange, sweet-and-salty marvel — that elevated husband and wife team Ross and Melanie Canter  into local celebrities.

Their origin story is peak L.A.: a Hollywood writers’ strike, a guy who loved baking, and a side hustle that suddenly wasn’t so “side” anymore. Ross — whose credits include Curious George and ABC’s What About Brian — decided to pursue a life of sugar and flour in 2007.

Nearly two decades their loyal Santa Monica fan base rallied in support of the business when Ross and Melanie lost their home in the Palisades fire.

Cookie Good is open six days a week at 11:00 a.m. and is closed on Sundays.

Main Street’s business district is already gearing up for its annual “Most Loved” contest, with the 2026 voting window officially opening on February 9; expect local shops, restaurants, and services to start campaigning for your vote.
