Pete Davidson says he’s ready to “hang up the jersey” after seven seasons on 'Saturday Night Live'.

It’s sounding like Pete Davidson may no longer be live from New York.

The headline-grabbing Saturday Night Live star says he’s ready to “hang up the jersey” after seven seasons.

Davidson’s future on the late night series came into question after last weekend’s season finale episode when he delivered what many interpreted as farewell remarks.

‘I’m very grateful to be here, and it’s been an honor to grow up in front of you guys,’ he told the audience at the end of a ‘Weekend Update’ sketch.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Davidson, 27, said he had no desire to remain with the show for 18 seasons like castmate Keenan Thompson.

“Yeah, I’m good,” he laughed.  “I’m surprised I made it to seven. I’m ready to hang up the jersey. Kenan’s like f**kin’ Karl Malone out there.’

It is widely anticipated that Thompson, Aidy Bryant, Kate McKinnon and Cecily Strong may also head for the exit before the beginning of season 47.
