Rock and revolt!
Eric Clapton — who claims to have suffered an extreme reaction to his COVID-19 vaccine — has dropped a new rant anthem railing against pandemic-related mandates.
“This Has Gotta Stop” coincides with a major anti-vax protest near the Santa Monica Pier this weekend.
Clapton sings:
I can’t take this BS any longer
It’s gone far enough
I knew that something was going on wrong
When you started laying down the law
I can’t move my hands
I break out in sweat
Clapton, 76, has said he experienced “disastrous” side effects from the Astra Zeneca vaccination, which is not available for use in the United States.

After the second injection, “my hands and feet were either frozen, numb or burning, and pretty much useless for two weeks,” the guitarist wrote in a memo distributed though social media in I feared I would never play again.”
This is not the first time Clapton has spoken out about pandemic-related crackdowns.
In December 2020, he contributed vocals to the tune “Stand and Deliver”, which was written by pal Van Morrison and questioned “Is this a sovereign nation or a police state? Do you want to be a free man or do you want to be a slave?”
Clapton — whose hits include “Layla”, “I Shot The Sheriff” and “Lay Down Sally” — has said he refuses to perform at venues where proof of vaccination is required for entry.
Earlier this month, his stance and public comments raised the ire of Queen rocker Brian May, who called anti-vaxxers “fruitcakes” and noted that “There’s plenty of evidence to show that vaccination helps.”
Numerous health experts have also confirmed that vaccines are vital to defeat the COVID-19 pandemic and the benefits far outweigh any potential risks.
