Another Santa Monica eatery has served its last meal.
Veggie Grill at 2025 Wilshire Boulevard closed its doors this week, but promised to return…in a few years.
“This building is slated for demolition by the landlord,” the company posted on it front window, “but we’ve already signed on to return with an anticipated opening in 2027 and 2028.”
The property was purchased in 2022 by Cypress Equity Investments, which plans to redevelop the property into a mixed-use combination of 46 apartments and street level retail, including the new Veggie Grill.
It is unclear if the neighboring Chipotle restaurant will also return.
Veggie Grill continues to operate 18 locations in California including Westwood Village, El Segundo and Hollywood.
