Google has opened its first retail store in Southern California right here in Santa Monica.
The tech giant opened its doors today in the iconic Keller Building at 227 Broadway, just two blocks away from the competing Apple Store on Third Street Promenade. Apple operates more than 500 retail stores around the world. Google has only six.
The Santa Monica Google Store is stocked with Pixel phones, wearables and accessories. Simple repairs can be performed onsite.
“We’ve always wanted to have another way for our customers to engage with our products,” Michael Camacho, Google’s head of retail, told KTLA.
