A wild police chase ran through Santa Monica Wednesday before winding its way through Malibu and parts of Ventura County.
LAPD began following a stolen delivery truck from Lowes home improvement store around 11:30 a.m.
The pursuit traveled from the 405 freeway to the 10 freeway to Pacific Coast Highway and eventually the 101 (Ventura) Freeway, where the driver was clocked at over 70 miles per hour. At one point the suspect sideswiped and then appeared to intentionally rear-end a Mr. Tire truck.
The suspect eventually lost control of the vehicle and crashed near Auto Center Drive in Ventura. He briefly fled on foot before being captured.
