JP’s Bar and Grill — one of many casualties of the COVID-19 pandemic — is set to reopen in its new location at 925 Wilshire Boulevard.
The new and improved JP’s will feature a newer, more updated look, up to 25 television screens and nearly twice as much customer spaces as its predecessor, owner Alexander Kallberg tells The Santa Monica Daily Press.
“We knew that the move was inevitable, because the other building was very old,” he says. “We had to take out clay pipes, that’s how old it was. And the ceiling was about to collapse.”
Kallberg tell the paper that it took more than a year to get through the city permitting and zoning protocols. He hopes to have the doors open in time for Superbowl LVIII on Sunday, February 11.
