If you’ve ever yelled at your TV thinking, “I could totally win that,” you’re not alone. A new study shows Americans aren’t just watching reality TV—they’re actively dreaming about getting cast.
Leading the pack by a mile? Survivor. The long-running competition series pulls in over 12,000 monthly searches from people trying to figure out how to apply. Turns out, plenty of us are ready to trade beach days for bug bites and backstabbing alliances.
Coming in second is Family Feud, proving that arguing with your relatives on national television still sounds like a good time. Close behind is The Amazing Race, where the appeal of globe-trotting chaos continues to attract adventurous duos.
After that, there’s a noticeable drop—but the interest is still strong. Shark Tank lands in fourth, drawing aspiring entrepreneurs eager to pitch their big idea, while The Voice rounds out the top five, just edging out Big Brother, where strangers compete for a hefty cash prize while living under constant surveillance.
Talent-driven shows continue to shine, with America’s Got Talent and American Idol both making the top 10. And yes, love is definitely in the air—The Bachelor and Love Is Blind prove that plenty of Americans are still willing to risk it all for romance on camera.
“This data shows that Americans aren’t just watching these shows, they’re imagining themselves on them,” said Paul Mertens, CEO of Winna.com, whose company researched searches related to 50 popular reality programs between February, 2025 and January 2026.
| Rank | Show | Average Monthly Searches |
| 1 | Survivor | 12,183 |
| 2 | Family Feud | 7,601 |
| 3 | Amazing Race | 7,462 |
| 4 | Shark Tank | 3,815 |
| 5 | The Voice | 3,573 |

| 8 | Wipeout | 1,916 |
| 9 | American Idol | 1,753 |

Whether it’s surviving the elements, pitching a startup, or finding love in front of millions, one thing is clear: reality TV isn’t just entertainment—it’s a fantasy audition waiting to happen.
