This time its New York City school kids who are fuming mad at Mayor Bill DeBlasio.
In a very Grinch-like move just two weeks before the holiday break, DeBlasio has said school will be in session despite an oncoming winter storm.
Snow days are “a thing of the past,” the Mayor told his constituents yesterday.
Remote learning capabilities have now made it so that there is no reason that teachers can’t connect with their students — even if several feet of white powder cripple the rest of the city.
“I feel awful,” one disgruntled 6th grader told The Gothamist. “Kids don’t deserve to have snow days ripped off for crappy remote learning!”
