Santa Monica — with its soaring crime, sky-high taxes and estimated 1200 homeless residents — is again among the ten most expensive places to live in America.
A study released this week by Property Shark lists 90402, which includes the prestigious “North of Montana” neighborhood, as the nation’s eighth priciest zip code.

The median sale price of all single family homes, including condominiums, was $4,058,000 during the first ten months of 2021.
Santa Monica placed just behind #7 Santa Barbara (93108) and #6 Beverly Hills (90210).
Atherton, Califonia (94027) topped the list for the fifth year in a row with a median home price of $7,475,000.
New York City, long one of the most expensive places to live, fell out of the top 20 for the first time.
