Oh, baby!
A homeless woman gave birth on the Venice boardwalk Sunday morning just a short distance from crowds of panhandlers, dog walkers and street venders.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to an “obstetrician call” on the 300 block of Ocean Front Walk, near Rose Avenue, at 11:17 AM.
Witnesses say the 30 year-old unnamed woman, who is believed to be from Virginia, went into labor just a few minutes before the baby arrived.
Mother and child were quickly transported to a nearby hospital, LAFD spokesperson Nicholas Prange told YoVenice.com.
No further information has been made available.
