A giant giraffe was spotted among the thousands of beachgoers near Santa Monica Pier Monday.
TV news crews shot arial footage of the giant mammal as it was lead around by handlers.
At one point, some tourists were even seen taking selfies.
The giraffe, named Jax, was hire to participate in a private chili cook-off event at the Jonathan Club, according to Fox11 reporter Lily Nuno.
